For possibility to be a Certification Authority of EuroPKI you should be sure that it is accepted to follow the EuroPKI Italian certification policy.
The requiring CA may have a security policy and issue a certificates diverce of the EuroPKI italian ones but more secure and more ristricted then the EuroPKI italian ones.
The requiring CA must periodically send to the EuroPKI Italian CA's staff its own policy for verification that stated policy is the used on practice one.

To request to become an EuroPKI-affiliated CA you should to do:

  1. generate key pairs of your CA (we accept ONLY 2048bits key length for CA's keys);
  2. generate your certification request (in PKCS#10 or selfsigned certificate formats);
  3. carefully read and fill in the declaration form (Adobe Acrobat .pdf or Microsoft Word .doc formats);
  4. make a copy of the identity card with photo or of the passport of the declaring person;
  5. carefully read and fill in the certification request form (Adobe Acrobat .pdf or Microsoft Word .doc formats);
  6. make a copy of your identity card with photo or of your passport;
  7. send the certification request prepared on step 2 by email: it-ca@europki.org;
  8. send prepared on steps 3-6 documents by post on the address:

  9. wait for further information.

    IMPORTANT: This CA may sign a certification requests for any subordinate CA under Italian PKI ONLY !!!
